Who Do We Trust

to decieve is to project what is not there
yet we sometimes must
who are you and who am I
who can we trust

you look at me and see a girl
who's lost there in the dust
but others see a different girl
who can we trust

truely we're all trying
to show that we are strong
to hide away emotion
never admitting when we're wrong

so look again and tell me
what do you really see
inside my eyes
are all i hide
yet you know i must
so then, who do we trust

Thought-provoking poem, Rachel. The answer lies inside each of us. If we become authentic and quit trying to fool everyone, we can all be ourselves and adapt to the similarities and the differences we have in harmony. Have a great weekend! Bill
