Who Could Deny You
Who could deny you?
No one’s ever felt this way before
Passing through the open door
Shaking your fist, screaming
How could you dare keep me out?!
Solitarily unified
And home at last
Who could deny you?
It’s your money after all
Look at what you get
For the mere price of your soul
You never cared for it anyway
So why should I pay for your name
When they already bought it from you?!
Who could deny you?
Can’t argue the price of freedom
Campaign your slogan
Tissues come free with your vote
To remove the spit from your eye
Punch a hole and pull the trigger
We’re going to be missing the man before him
Who could deny you?
Wisdom comes with the years
But still never outgrow childish ignorance
Standing firmly upon the Bible, with the budget on top of it
How dare you think God cares for your four walls!
He’s waiting outside in the street
While you poll your votes to let Him in
Who could deny you?
Beauty queen standing tall in the center of the stage
Angle the camera, tint the mirrors, keeps us on the good side
Hand’s as hollow as her heart
Twenty-ninth time’s the charm
Wait for the crickets
If you want violins
But who could ever deny you?
