Who are you, who penetrate my soul and daze me

Who are you, who penetrate my soul and daze me? What through dreams do you slip subtly, feign divinity? Why are you the apparition that stretches its shadow and chills me, When in the coolness of the night, I wait to glimpse your divine trace? How does your shadow wander over my barren world, I, captive in fascination, watch what others cannot guess. I see oceans of boundless yearning, destinies without anchor, I see a hidden world, shrouded in mystery and ancient witchcraft. Whispering dreams that struggle in the white horizons of dusk, When nights clothe the dawns and the present is eternal, I wonder again, who are you, from what story have you detached? How do you shine in your world, a wandering star at dawn? How does your sculpture borrow shapes from the smile of the morning, Purer than the sun bathing on golden hills? Why do your deep eyes pierce through a mad, crisp green, Revealing a wondrous world in the crystalline tear? And why have you come along my path to steal my dreaming, To lose myself in your splendor, in the mystery of our brief love? To be my storm and calm on my solitary path, To give you my pure love, in the living silver cup? Who are you? What unstoppable call wrenches my heart when the waves of the sea hit me, And from every angle of the world come endless, alien rains? Who are you, my fulfilled thought, brought to earth with a step of dance, When night extends its reign, and the silences are adorned in petals and suns?
