Who am I?

How should I tell them?
Tell them who I really am-
How I feel,
How I act.

Will they still love me?
Will they still care for me?
Will they be there for me?

Something I will never know.
Something lost out there.
Something I will probably never see.

That part of me is hidden.
Buried so deep,
other wounds are already piled
on top of it.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

This is a deeply moving free-verse poem that captures the uncertainty of revealing one’s true self with striking honesty. The repeated questions create a pulse of anxiety and longing, while the final image of hidden hurt buried beneath older wounds leaves a powerful, lingering emotional weight.
