Who am I

Through waking, dreaming, deep sleep, death and swoon,
being wave forms on the ocean’s surface,
as is waxing and waning of the moon,
the substratum of existence is grace.

God’s grace is invoked when our mind is still,
purified heart free from fear and desire,
whence yoked with God’s will, voids within us fill,
ego consigned to the funeral fire.

Made in God’s image, we are living light,
one without a second, outside space-time,
recognised upon garnering clear sight,
when we’re lost in love betwixt bliss beat’s chime.

We are not the body, we are not this ~
We are existence, consciousness and bliss

Dear US, so incredible, a real heart-searcher. I love how you use the imagery of the wave forms on the ocean to explain the transient self versus the substratum of existence, which is grace. It feels like a map to the deepest parts of the spirit. I love philosophy and the Upanishads and this truly shines. Autumn Blessings, Dear US, Daniel

Thank you, Daniel. There are not many who have browsed through the Upanishads. In fact, I read a few of them only recently. I wish I had familiarised myself with the wisdom in early years. Still, better late than never.

Inspired by the Paingala Upanishad
