Who Am I

What good am I when in so much pain
What good am I if I cannot bring better life to family
What good is this body if it keeps breaking down
I am
A tiny spec of dust, swept along by emotional tides
Worthless to so many in a world full of selfishness
What good can I do when the goings been so tough
I am
A lonely soul hanging on by a golden thread
Barely able to see light through encompassing darkness
What’s left for me in this crazy world when no one cares
Who am I?

In a world of arrogance humility is a shining diamond. Beautiful well written poem touching heart and soul. Congratulations Paula on "Who I Am" being featured poem of the week.

I wonder how many fight these same thoughts, thinking no one else understands. May they see they are not alone, and may they help another find the priceless worth that they are. This is the heart of many Paula. Though I hope maybe not yours :)
