White Swans
white swans
gliding over still waters
while sun
glints
laughingly off each languid movement
made by the noisy group
they cackle amongst themselves
enjoying the comraderie
while
their nether regions
wave
gleefully in the misty morning
as they dip
for food
I watch them with a child's eyes
which grow wider as
the swans take flight overhead
and I am reminded
how grateful I am
for as the swans find their freedom within azure skies
so I find my freedom
within.
