Whistling In the Dark

Can I see myself in the dark? Perhaps all I can do is feel Time... is the beating of the heart And I fear... means its real If its day, I wouldn't know If its night, I can only hope so Whence without I can behold Beyond life, is there not a soul? A shadow for every a light And not everyone can hide Is there light for every a night? When even the blind has their sight Moments too pure and true Dying away and living again A side of shade I never knew That side of light... never to remain I was not seen by the dark Perhaps the dark can feel? Time... maintaining apart I know you are real...
