Whispers of the Night

A cool breeze whispers secrets low,
A night so still, the world holds breath.
Leaves sway, a gentle, wistful flow,
A sweet goodnight, in quiet death.

Beetles hum, a distant, mournful sigh,
Murmurs fade, into the darkened night.
Dogs bark, a staccato cry,
Vehicles honk, a jarring, urgent light.

Moonlight soaks the earth, a silver glow,
Stars umbrella the world, a celestial sea.
I lie relaxed, thoughts drifting slow,
Nothingness, a peaceful, dreamless glee.

The starlit sky, a canvas vast and wide,
Beauty stirs, a smile creeps, heart alight.
Calmness washes, soul-deep, a tranquil tide,
A memory crafted, pure, and infinite delight.
