A cool whistling breeze precedes the first light My curtains dance at the window filtering though the daylight A sound of a distant cock crow and chirping birds Are like protest against my guilty lazy bones still in bed I breathe the innocence of a new day with a slow blink I swim out of bed as I let the bygone and the past sinks
