Whispers of Mortality

The earth remembers
  every September
    The dawn of Time
    fateful, sublime

  Six days of Creation
  singular innovations
    Last is Man
    land's also-ran

  Lips part, mortality
  whispers the earth

Nothing lasts forever, not even Earth...sadly. Live it like you own it! :)

Ha, ha! I'm just a boarder, passing through this corridor.

Not sure where you got your timeline but the earth is laughing at out mortality. In her lifetime she has seen the beginning and will witness the end. We, mortals, are here but a season.

Yet, to every season there is a reason...

I try to -- make my steps meaningful -- and then I step in dog-doo.
