Whispers In My Heart

Whispers in my heart,
   soft spoken voices calling me
   with messages not quite clear
   but there.
Loving interlude shared
   held protected and safe
   alive with passion and emotion
   here, in my heart.
Rhythmic hymns stirring
   releasing silent prayer
   in hearing and listening
   to God.
Kept tight and lovingly
   the whisper grows
   speaking my name
   deep in my soul.
Closing my eyes
   light persists
reaching to my mind, my heart
   all of me.
No shadows, no fears, no escape,
   the message is alive
   living and changing
   for the love of God.
