Whispers

A.W. Nutter Can you hear the whispers Follow us into the darkness Sanctuary is found in the night Let us feast upon your innocence Step away from the power of light The shadows are calling Exercise your freewill by defiance Hearken to the voices whispering Let us frolic in your disobedience Darkest desires, yours for the asking Let your spirit run free Why spend your life in servitude Remove your halo of perfection Let us change your archaic attitude The spirit yearns for abdication With the demons of lust Sinful pleasures caressing your palate As we enlighten your virgin spirit To the reality of your souls new fate A new kingdom yours to inherit

Truly a beautifully written poem, Anthony. Couldn't help but think of the song "The Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera while reading it. Great work! Love, Carolyn
