Whispering Wings

I hear the flapping of wings 
As your heart starts to sing 
A light tickle on the back of my ear 
I can tell that your presence is near
A calming touch on the shoulder 
Once warm has grown colder
Not by choice, you left so fast 
I knew that the disease wouldn't last 
I know now that you're better
Running around with your hair getting wetter 
A simple whisper of your wings will do 
As I ask, mom is that you
