Whispering Muse.
Hold onto fantasy if you dare
Ride the night winds over desolations sands
Hear the fading voice of the masses
The few who chanced all and were devoured
Consumed within the flames of selfishness
Live in the blessing of daylight
That finite moment that can never be held
A tempest ravaging without an ending
Raging on without entreaty…without reservation
Hold onto the truth scratched on the wall
Declaring to the one who reads his own deliverance
Listen to the song of life slowing
Into sweet nothingness ever pellucid
Deepened in truth as time marches forward
Hold onto fantasy if you choose
Drink of its essence upon deaths embrace
It’s that undoubting spirit which will carry you onward
The respite from solitary pursued throughout life
