William was whispering and weeping sad words echoing,
It was my turn answering calls at a kids call in this evening;
And I was listening to William as my heart was just breaking,
He had only been living eight years and he was really suffering.
William was whispering and weeping sad words echoing,
He told me crying that mean words were like whips lashing;
His parents said he was worthless, freaking stupid, not worth living,
And he was whispering to me that for awhile his arms he was cutting.
William was whispering and weeping sad words echoing,
He told me that he was thinking to end all the pain by hanging;
In panic, I tried to keep him talking while the police I was calling,
Then, the phone went dead and I was left blinking, my soul chilling.
The police called, telling me, William was safe, now I was weeping.
