WHISPER SWEET NOTHINGS
As we sat watching an episode of NCIS
She said, I have a question, I hope you answer yes
Will you whisper sweet nothings to me
The way you used to do
It makes me feel so romantic
It's why I fell in love with you
I said, what is a sweet nothing
Is it I will always love you
Being near you drives me insane
And when I kiss those lovely lips
A fire runs through my veins
Or is it when we cuddle
And I say where did time go
You turn to me with a tearful look
And say, I do not know
But let's pretend we're young again
Let our youthful vigor return
And you can hold me close to you
And make my emotions churn
That is a real sweet nothing
I truly miss them so
I wish that time could just stand still
And I'd never let you go
So kiss me now my darling
Make me tingle, make me blush
And whisper sweet nothings in my ear
'Til I tell you to hush
Ah, sweet nothings, oh yeah
