Whisper In the Darkness
During times of sadness when tears were often shed,
the whisper never faltered in storms I faced ahead.
The lulling voice that lingered,
spoke softly in my ear.
Although it brought me comfort,
was difficult to hear.
So I tried hard to listen,
but still, it wasn’t clear.
The whisper never faltered in storms I faced ahead,
or during times of sadness when tears were often shed.
It came in troubled waters,
that voice I thought unknown,
and whispered through the darkness
when I was on my own.
That’s when I heard it clearly,
say “child, you're not alone."
