While Storm Clouds Roll In
While the storm clouds roll in
thunder breaks, as does my heart,
with memories of what might have been
if only we had chosen not to part.
Thunder breaks, as does my heart.
Rain pours down to hide my tears.
If only we had chosen not to part,
if only I could live with these fears.
Rain pours down to hide my tears.
I stand in the storm, afraid, alone.
If only I could live with these fears,
if only I could somehow atone.
I stand in the storm, afraid, alone
with memories of what might have been.
If only I could somehow atone
while the storm clouds roll in.
