While Still Have a Chance
While Still Have A Choice
You thought you had time
To call them again
Faithful close classmate
Long time ago friend.
Then you get a call
From out of the past
Too late to visit
Their tombstone’s been cast.
Guilt over the should’ve
You should have found time
Before you knew it,
Out of sight, out of mind.
Well not really true
You’d call now and then
Hearing about death
Can’t remember when.
Sad you can’t recall
Last time heard their voice
how much they loved you
Made your heart rejoice.
Regret’s good teacher
Listen to its voice.
Today! Call that someone
While still have a choice.
