Where you are
I go to the river under the mid day sun to look for your shadow in the sand
In search of your warmth I bury my hands
Praying
There must still be a way to end this disappearing act
I search through pictures of our old house to see the traces of you
Your bike in the garage, a toy in the yard
Seeking your reflection in the windows
I just had a feeling you would be there
Lingering in the happy memories
Inside those walls are the echos of the life you lived and I'm finding myself outside pleading for them to let me in again
I need for you to be somewhere, anywhere other than inside my head
How can I let go of the past when it's the only place we both exist
