Where Were You?
Where were you on New Year’s Eve?
And the New Year what was on?
Did the old year went in a flash, or you
Were ringing in the new, out with the
Old, getting smashed.
To each is own we all are different,
Morals, principles, discipline the lot.
No offence the good Lord planned it,
Take what you have, and do the best
With what you’ve got.
Every year I take a moment, on the
Hour of it all. To reflect on past blessing
Sorrow and joy, and thank my God not sure
Of later. Whatever you do to get your kick
Respect each views and choice we pick.
