Where the Wild Stars Spin
We rolled through high school, just two strangers in the hall,
same circles, same faces, yet never meeting at all.
You chased BMX and I chased wheels on a deck,
two rebels in motion on lines that didn't intersect.
But fate’s a heavy hand that tangles every plan,
pulls threads through the chaos no matter where you stand.
It called us back to the passions we had when we were young,
as if the universe rewound the reel and said, “This is where the story's begun.”
I get nervous around you, yeah, you knock me off my game,
because what you think matters, and you don’t treat love the same.
Since the day we smashed cheeseburgers, laughing like fools,
you’ve lived rent free in my mind, breaking all my rules.
We were tested early, storms right out of the gate,
but some bonds don’t break when the world starts to shake.
In a life full of poison clouds and judges gone wrong,
you’re the one steady rhythm in a world with no song.
I see you in my present, and I dream you in my days,
like destiny scribbled your name in the cosmic haze.
Our hearts want the same things, the real things, the true,
the kind you don’t gamble, the kind you don’t lose.
They say people who can’t speak their feelings let music do the deal,
so, here’s mine in rhyme form, the way the brave ones feel:
If the stars wrote a story, they carved you into me,
not luck, not chance, but cosmic certainty.
So even if the world tilts, when the heavens bruise and scar,
I’ll still choose you in the chaos, and every poisoned star.
Because baby, long before we even knew,
the universe already drew its map from me to you.
