Where the Sky Meets the Trees

She folded her dreams into the shapes of stars,
and her fears into the shapes of planes.
She saved her stars for her nights,
so they could guide with their light.
She used the breeze to set the planes free.
As the flew, they got caught in the trees.

I sat back to relax and closed my eyes,
and I saw what happiness is.
She whispered a secret into my ear,
and I heard what happiness is.
I have never before felt so grateful that we met.
Our day slowly sails into a beautiful sunset.
