Where the Ashes of Dignity Fall
It don’t mean nothing, nothing at all.
A hard working man. A Teacher, someone who cared for us all.
Treated like they are nothing just because they fall.
Treated with contempt for being ill.
Treated like an animal for not staying still.
It don’t mean nothing, nothing at all.
You give it your everything, you give it your all.
Caring? Why should the system care for you at all? You catch Covid in the hospital - it’s home for you! Your wife is elderly - she’ll do for you, that’s all!!
It means nothing, nothing at all. This is England and when your old you don’t matter at all.
You mean nothing, you’re nothing at all.
