Where My Mind Dwells

What a strange place where my mind dwells. Where savagery runs wild And buffoonery is a crown of glory and not shame. A place where the graceless reside And run between the stacks of distorted memories. Where the gullible are the kings and queens of stability. A backwards land where those who are extraordanary Are consideres less than desireable And are placed at the lowest spot. A place where sympathy and empathy no longer reside And have long since stayed away. A sad and emotionless place because depression consumes even the most lively of people. A place where death and fear Is ubiquitous and inescapeable. Yet there is something truly spectacular about this place. It is where i can come in the quietness And pen my precious thoughts without the fear of being shamed and proposed as a fool. May 20, 2018
