Where Light Finds Me
Where Light Finds Me
Some days
I am a quiet sunrise,
soft, unsure,
learning slowly how to glow again.
I move gently through hours,
careful not to break
the fragile hope
resting in my chest.
Other days
I am thunder
loud hope wrapped in storms,
bold enough to shake fear loose.
I speak my dreams out loud,
even when doubt
tries to silence me.
There are nights too,
long ones,
where questions echo louder
than answers.
Where I search the dark
for even the smallest spark
to remind me
I am still becoming.
Yet somehow,
through every shadow,
through every pause and restart,
through tears I never planned to cry,
light keeps finding me.
It slips through cracks,
rests on my shoulders,
whispers,
“Keep going.”
And I do.
Because deep down
I know this
I am not just waiting for light.
I am learning,
day by day,
to become it.
