Where Lies Disappear
Where lies disappear
This was not walking
For that implies a purpose
This was wandering
But even that goes too far
Because I cannot walk
But my mind can wander, and does
And find a truth along the way
New in its sway over me
For a time
With reason, but without rhyme
Truth does that
It stands alone on the highway of lies
And resists the siren call of untruths
It remains steadfast
The last bastion of sense
It never ends its defence
Of past, present and future
By just being and being just
That is my lust
A world where lies disappear
And truth prevails
