Where It Leads Iv
An entire world at my fingertips searching for a crack
so it can flow through it and cast a new face
on the world we live in today
Where does it lead, none may know
take my hand, let's go
Walk with me, experience with a different mindset
the stage is set, the actors are ready
steady, steady...enjoy
Ten thousand against one, one won
quality over quantity, the end.
Strange isn't it, what is
the higher the quality the more quantity
proclaims it unworthy and buries it
That's not true, doesn't make any sense at all, actually
Truth wanted to say something, lie raised its hand first
"There's water in the desert" - Truth died of thirst
Dear Muse would you please amuse this mortal
and shed your benevolent light, washing away
the gloomy lack of inspiration felt today
I'd very much like to get lost in the madness of creation
forgetting about time and to orchestrate a symphony of letters
for you until the sky turns blue; and beyond, until all the stars
stop shining, waiting for your presence to reignite their core
(I know you are here, he..he...)
I'd even intervene in the Greater Scheme of the Universe
mess with the fabric of time, rearrange some galaxies
just to feel you closer, to make you mine
Dear Muse bestow upon me the World's greatest rhyme
just so it can withstand the trials of time
and those who read this gentle line; feel your embrace
as you infuse inspiration with such indulgence, grace
Rip my soul out of its socket, place into a rocket
and send me towards the Sun, I want my feelings to run,
flee and finally be free from the burden of your love
Once my soul fuses with the scorching plasma
it will take but a few moments for it to be one with the Sun
don't shed tears my darling, wait for the approaching dawn
once the sunrise arrives bathe in my feelings
You see, no matter how much your love burdens me
I will always find a way to light your darkest day
I may be mute but for you I will always speak poetry
and remain sane as I'm taken over by insanity
I don't have that much to offer, in fact I might even stutter
as I speak, you make weak, my legs tremble
and I try really hard to assemble the broken pieces of my heart
