Where Is the Moon
Where is the moon?
Where is the moon
as I go chasing shadows
Hiding behind
every cloud filled with fear
Only a hint
of the glow I remember
Those summer nights
when I knew you were near
Patterns of grey
on the heavens above me
Worry now gathers
right here in my heart
Nary a star
or a comet to flicker
Darkness invades
in these moments apart
Walking alone
through this evergreen valley
Pine needle whispers
to torment my mind
Sounding so much
like the song we were singing
So long ago
in a much better time
Lyrics of love
that are now disappearing
Merely an echo
comes ending the tune
So here I am
in a world chasing shadows
Looking above asking
where is the moon
