Where Is God

Where is God?

Things go wrong in society
And people ask, "Where is God?"
We remove Him from every place
And people ask, "Where is God?"

Even in churches, He is removed
Where politics and bureaucracy
Human weakness and rituals
Turn people away from God's grace 

Even in schools, He is removed
When children kill each other
People ask, "Where is God?"
But still, no prayer in schools

Where is God?
Where is God?
People are always asking
"Where is God?"

Let's stop and consider this
God is within each of us
Even if we don't realise it
He is the Creator of the Universe

It doesn't matter 
What your belief system is for you
Just focus on believing
In something that is pure and good

If everyone was decent
And we raised our children right
If we stopped focusing on the politics
And let God back in the fight

We'd create a changed society
Bring light into this world
Allowing God to guide our actions
Allowing His Universe to unfold

For God is all powerful
God is good and kind
God is grace and mercy
God is peace of mind

Perhaps if we all realised
That God is everywhere
We'd stop focusing on religion
Or putting the blame on beliefs and fears

For we are ultimately one heart
We are all one communal soul
God is in each of us
And He is the greater whole

We have all been through a number of harrowing years and I am struggling to see humanity learning anything about improving things or working together. And a lot of that has to do with too many people having lost faith or not being taught about God. It's sad. Take care and stay safe. Blessings to you and your loved ones too. :-)
