Where I Reside

I wiped a forbidden tear away from my eyes he says good girls should never cry So I close my eyes so tight that my lids tremble I am trying to symbolize a strong women to my tribe but I hate that I must respect men that I despise. A women's opinion means nothing, and a man is god. I wouldn't dare tell a soul this but when I sleep I dream of America. I wish I could escape my home.
