Where I Am From
My home is my home
But let me vomit these pains that is
hidden in my heart
Even stray bullets have found a place
to hide secretly
Cause my home is a crying ocean
My home is a home
But read these sad realities that sleep
on our face
Shining stars wait for the rain drop to bath
While future leaders roll in the ghetto smoking their minds away
My home is my home
But come and see how we live here
Lack of safe drinking water and good
health system
Sadly, we die every minute the clock ticks
My home is my home
But you've seen its people
'Teenage pregnancy' - the hottest competition
Sex is less expensive - even 100LD can get you a couple of minutes
My home is my home
Guess I learn that in school
They say: never forget the road that
leads you home
But mine has many potholes and cracks
My home is my home
Government has come and gone
Yet my home is just the same home
These thoughts keep cycling in my head
My home is 'New Kru Town'
I pray you make too many visits
And see the torments and torture
Cause my home is blown off
