There was no drowse and blood was shed, Candles ground is where martyrs lie, Through felled brothers, you fought ahead, There was no drowse and blood was shed, Through the carnage fields, black boots tread, Audacious knowing you could die, There was no drowse and blood was shed, Candles ground is where martyrs lie.

I was reminded while reading this one of those who were willing to go with the knowledge of their chance of dying. On a battlefield would not be where I ever wanted to be, I am in awe of anyone who could go to those extreme means to save something. I don't know what I would do if I were faced with having to do that. Thank you for sharing this one with us and stopping by my page. Sara
