Where Have You Gone - Fresh Fluffy Snow

where have you gone
  fresh fluffy snow
glistening over meadows
  on rooftops in rows

where have you gone
  bracing December air
deeply breathed, adored
  on cheeks ruddy and fair

purge the slush from muddy lanes
whisk the grime from icy lanes
recapture the magic of that first snowfall
paint flakes of frost on my windowpane

Fresh snow’s beautiful but it becomes a mess! Very nicely done!

Love it, Gershon… but snow belongs in snow domes. In the Uk, one flake lands in a field somewhere… and they cancel all the trains! Sheesh! Terry

Please!!! Keep it all to yourself. OK?! Chicago's seen enough snow and ice for a whole winter this past week, thank you. Enjoy! :) gw

There's some snowy magic in this write. An optimistic glint there in the end about cleaning up the mess and waiting for more. Since you may actually be hoping for warmer weather and plenty of sunshine, I will simply say--May your weather wishes come true! :)

Thanks, P.S... and you're right. It's a bit too nippy for me at this point in Winter. Warmth and Light, Gershon

So, now I know what to do. I'll get out there with my shaver and get rid of that 'angry stubble.' lol.

The melting can be messy, but it soon dies up. We have big snow or ice or combination around every 10 years. It is probably about time for us to have another one. I enjoyed reading this one today.Your visits to my page are uplifting. Sara

I'd love for just one winter to see the snow appear for a day, sparkle and shine, and then go back where it came from... I can dream, can't I?! Sara, here's to Inspiration and Transcendence, Gershon
