Where Eagles Dare

In my dreams, freed
are my tethered feet,
unencumbered, above I soar
   where eagles dare,
        effortlessly,
      in a world of
sugar dusted mountain tops,
   where oh so sweetly,
 whispered, airy breaths
    gently lift me
  higher and higher
above anything imagined
       on earth

I love the "sugar dusted mountaintops" and I can imagine at a certain distance from above thats probably what they look like ... smile ... but since I don't fly, I'll leave it to our dreams. Wonderful writing here, Maureen and a well-deserved selection to be a feature this week at the Soup. Congratulations!
