Where Does My Mikhail Sleep Tonight
Where does my Mikhail sleeps tonight?
His bed his bare, his room his cold
No one looks to see the wild geese flight
And far away the church bells toll.
I had him once against my chest, no more
Where does my Mikhail sleeps tonight
The wild waves wander a wind blown shore
It's dark, it's dark, stars hides my sight.
So young the child to die, to live so bright
So strange the void in time and space
Where does my Mikhail sleeps tonight
I love not much again earth the barren place
A long for promises I heard of Eden sown
Again with love, and joy gathered in the flight
Of sorrow from the harrowing ere the throne
Eden will be Mikhail again with me tonight.
