Where Did You Get Lost
with dreams and hopes the sun did rise
life was lived through open eyes
rain dismissed clouds no more
rainbows spanned from shore to shore
a future then so very different
now has come to pass
perspectives in the rearview mirror
fractured images in the glass
teardrops fall in amber pools
of frothy foamy suds
causalities of life brought frost
where did you get lost
you left my dear not leaving much
just memories of misspoken touch
recollections do remain
filtered through the falling rain
the future now has come to pass
poured from tap to a chilly glass
this lesson learned at love’s demise
some time dreams are best behind closed eyes
