Where Did We Go Wrong?

What happened to us people?
Where did we go wrong?
Why did we give up on the struggle that we fought for, for so long?
Why do we pull each other apart?
We are all of the same race, and from the same heart
Why do we not stand together, thru thick and thin?
Light-skinned, brown skinned, darker skinned, yellow skinned, we are all in
We have come so far, yet we have so far to go
Why do we destroy each other, that I do not know
Please stop hating and killing one another
Look into the eyes of your dear brother
They want us to shred each other to pieces
They want us to hurt each other until our young brother ceases
Please let's remember where we came from
We are a dominating force and together we can stand as one
I ask you again people, where did we go wrong
Why did we give up on the struggle that we fought for, for so long
