Where did they go?

mist arises from the moor as she walks along the edge
her heart pounding with each timid step,
where could they be?
searching every inch of the moor still no traces of them
the little souls who bare her loves name,
where? oh, where could my darlings be?
one by one they fall into line behind her,
mommie dearest, where are you going?
looking for you my little one,
but we are here right beside you,
yet for a moment i thought i lost you,
no mommie dearest we are here as we have always been,
oh, my ray of sunshine, i see you now,
but i can't touch your sweet face,
why can't i feel your presence?
Lord above where did they go?
they are here beside me,
looking down upon you as you stroll down the moor,
remembering the time, they spent with you....
