Where Did All the Goodness Go
Where has all the goodness gone,
true love, my only son,
all the wrong reasons, when said and done,
where has all the goodness gone,
where has all the daylight gone,
without it, we have not got long,
oh yes, forever I will sing this song,
oh yes in spirit when I am gone,
where did all the goodness go,
to late now, I told you all so,
so close the end of the world now you know,
we had a chance but were too slow,
Marlene Dietrict from long ago,
asks, "where did all the goodness go"?
