Where are you from?

I've come from hurt
and the future seems uncertain
and that really scares me
Cause I'm afraid I'll be walking right into hurt 

I've come from betrayal
and I'm still getting over that 
and what really scares me
Is I can't stop it from ever happening again 

I've come from a place of pain
that I've toughened so much
It scares me that I might never get to feel
Cause I've had to make myself numb to get by 

I've come from a point of emptiness 
that it's so easy for me to push away people
Cause they weren't there when I was going through it all
So what's the point of having them in my high season 

I've come from darkness
The vast world of lost souls
And I think I lost my soul there
Cause ever since, no one stays long in my life
