Where a Rainbow Meets Its End

Lucky in love, ain't something
I've ever been
We're just stuck here makin love tonight
In my mind once again

She knows that I want her
Yet here's where I stand
On a pathway to nowhere, tryin' to understand
It's kind of like, where a rainbow meets its end

Where a rainbow meets the Heavens
Up in the sky
And the teardrops from the Angel's
Slowly pass through the light

Way up from the earth
It turns to a frown
And its beauty returns, back to the ground
And I see I'm, where a rainbow, meets its end

There's no pot of hope...waitin'
So I pretend
Maybe I'll get over her
Where the sunshine never ends

Maybe I'll get my halo
And look to the ground
Turn another man's dreams, into a frown
As he stands where, a rainbow meets its end

Where a rainbow meets the Heavens
Up in the sky
And the teardrops from the Angel's
Slowly pass through the light

Way up from the earth
It turns to a frown
And its beauty returns, back to the ground
And he'll see he's, where a rainbow, meets its end

So until my time comes
I'll be stuck right here
Drowning in teardrops, and the colors so clear
There's no pot of gold
Where a rainbow, meets its end

There's no pot of gold
Where a rainbow meets its end

I really like this one Michael, we are in tune with each other, this feels like something I would write!

Thanks John, many have had revisions since being posted here. I usually write slower, older style country. Maybe we can collaborate sometime.
