Where a Heartbeat Used To Be
My heart has now grown silent
It's beat, has forsaken me
An endless abyss of sorrow
Where a heartbeat used to be
No longer able to supply my needs
It's grown a bit obtuse
Barren and void of feeling
It's no longer, of any use
I marvel as I walk this earth
With a heart, that's scarred and broken
Void of any promises made
That your lips have ever spoken
Nothing more than emptiness
Can fill my hollow soul
What good is a soul without a heart?
Only for the blood to flow?
A heart that knows no feeling
Is never really complete
Without the love you stole from me
It will only refuse to beat
