When you're not next to me

The flowers keep blooming
And the sun is still shining
How can that be
When you're not next to me

The waves are crashing
The wind is still blowing
The robins are singing
The stars are still gleaming
But you're not next to me

The trees should be withered away
The sun should not rise
The canyons should crumble down to dust
But the world keeps going on
Even when you're not next to me

Yes but when you were together they were that much more brilliant. Perhaps the memory of that can sustain you? This piece is my favourite so far.

Thank you so much! The memories of the sky, the stars, everything before seemed more brilliant- you are correct about that.
