When Your Words Fumble

Don’t you hate it when you try to explain
And the words just won’t cooperate
You stumble and fumble, your message lost
Leaving you frustrated and irate

You had it all planned out in your mind
Each thought perfectly aligned
But when you opened up your mouth
The words got muddled and intertwined

You tried to convey your true intentions
To make yourself clear and understood
But instead, a jumble of nonsensical words
Left you feeling misunderstood

It’s like a puzzle with missing pieces
Or a song with a broken melody
You desperately try to find the right words
But they slip away, out of reach

So you shake your head in disbelief
At the mess that spilled from your lips
Wishing you could rewind and try again
To express yourself without the slips

Even when your words go astray
For in the end, what truly matters
Is the sincerity in what you try to say.

So take a deep breath, gather your thoughts Eventually your words will come out.

This poem is definitely not in a tangle- lovely flow and easy read with the 4 line stanzas, rhythm and rhyme. It is a humorous but true account of miscommunication and how hard it is to re-set. Totally get that feeling! J :)
