When Your Only Child Leaves Home

WHEN YOUR ONLY CHILD LEAVES HOME
When your only child leaves home
day your life’s, forever changed.
Feel as if your entire world
forever… been rearranged.
Only God could understand
emotions try to contain.
No way possibly illustrate
unbearable grief… and pain.
Where once joy and laughter
find loneliness and despair.
Photographs, all remaining
they’ve left, gone…no longer there.
From the moment you gave birth
knew their heart, you couldn’t keep.
Years knew this day was coming
many nights…cried self to sleep.
“Sons a gift from Jehovah,”
learn comes at terrible cost.
Sad when have to experience
such an… unbearable loss.
We long once more, to hold them
better memories, chance to make.
But they and Jehovah God,
know that time’s past…now too late.
