When Your Body Betrays You
When your body betrays you
For many years we’ve been as one
The mind, body and soul
But as of late we’re separate
Each one of us damaged and down
Betrayed we are by our own selves
The mind to process agony
The body’s been dealt fierce and vicious harm
From a foe invisible yet violent all the same
The body has endured the pain
The soul has felt it too
So deep the hurt the body screams
in tears it pours, resolution gone
lastly where the soul has fallen
begging on bended knee
pray the torture go away
Dystonia be it’s name
