When You Were Mine

When
You were
Mine, the stars
Would shine brighter,
And when you were mine,
The world had more color.
When you were mine, what had been
Broken became whole once again,
Your love was the glue that fixed my heart,
But as I write this, it’s broken once more.
When I was yours, did all the stars align?
Did your life have more meaning to it?
When you were mine, love drove out the
Rain, revealing the sunshine.
It is clear to me now,
Nothing will ever
Be as good as
It was when
You were
Mine.
