When You Stumble

When you fall, fall into the arms of Jesus.

When you rise, rise on the wings of a bird,
                                                give him the glory.
When you think of love, feel love in your heart,
                                               give thanks to the source.
When you find yourself amidst hatred and selfishness,
be the light other souls long for.
When you feel afraid, alone, less than who you want to be,
pray to him, who knows your worth,
seek his counsel on the wings of eagles.
When life becomes a burden and you are weary in body and soul,
find peace, comfort and rest in the shelter of
his mightiness then soar high above this world.
When you feel guilt, shame, and carry the weight of an unforgivable past,
repent and feel the joy of his forgiving grace, then,
                                                                                                                     forgive yourself.
When you stumble, reach for his hand, let your loving Father help and guide you.
Share his love with others and love will come back to you.

You have so much wisdom you must be Solomon's daughter. I think the most difficult part for most people is forgiving themselves.

Hi Richard, thanks for the sweet comment...wisdom, me? Maybe...but I'm working on practicing what I preach. Not being too hard on myself is the tough one! Happy New Year...hugs, Rhonda

I will try,Rhonda. I tend just to ignore my ills and concentrate on helping others. Recently the weight of my own dismay feels overwhelming.

Hi Maurice, I can relate. I don't know how many times I've heard the old, if you don't take care of yourself, you can't take care of anyone else. Let's work on taking care of ourselves a little in the new year. Maybe I'll start with a spa visit for my birthday next month! Happy New Year...hugs, Rhonda

The great thing about forgiveness is that it does not require trying it only requires that you accept the gift. I had a hard time with that concept because I was always trying to be good enough and it seemed I was always well short of the mark. Once I accepted my salvation the dismay vanished and God renovated my heart.

Beautiful Rhonda..It reminds me of Fathers Day when my twelve year old gave me a baseball and he wrote "Thanks for being there when I struggle." God is just like that too...there for us when we struggle....hugs Tim
